Landmarq was formed out of the breakup of Quasar in 1990. The original lineup was Steve Leigh (keys), Uwe D'Rose (guitar), and Bob Daisley (vocals). They added Steve Gee on bass. Next to sign on was drummer Dave Wagstaffe. The group began recording demos the following year. However, during that year, Daisley left the group and they began the search for a new singer. After several false starts, Tracy Hitchings among them, they settled on Damian Wilson. This was the lineup that released the debut Solitary Witness in 1992. The second album was released the same year and entitled Infinity Parade. Unfortunately, that year also saw Wilson leaving the group already. They eventually picked Ian Gould to fill his shoes. Gould did not remain with Landmarq for long, though, and in an interesting turn of events, was replaced by Wilson. The group released their next album, The Vision Pit, in 1995.

Scholarship of literature and the environment demonstrates myriad understandings of nature and culture. While some work in the field results in approaches that belong in the realm of cultural studies, other scholars have expanded the boundaries of ecocriticism to connect the practice more explicitly to disciplines such as the biological sciences, human geography, or philosophy. …

The great Renée Fleming stars as the beguiling femme fatale who captivates all Paris in Lehár’s enchanting operetta, seen in a new staging by Broadway virtuoso director and choreographer Susan Stroman (The Producers, Oklahoma!, Contact). Stroman and her design team of Julian Crouch (Satyagraha, The Enchanted Island) and costume designer William Ivey Long (Cinderella, Grey Gardens, Hairspray) have created an art-nouveau setting that climaxes with singing and dancing grisettes at the legendary Maxim’s. Nathan Gunn co-stars as Danilo and Kelli O’Hara is Valencienne. Sir Andrew Davis conducts.

These 20 CDs comprise over 25 hours of music captured on-stage in the 1940s, ‘50s, and ‘60s at KWKH’s legendary Louisiana Hayride radio show. Staged live in Shreveport, the Hayride featured national country music stars, soon-to-be legends, regional break-outs, and talented newcomers. Most of this music has not been heard since the day it was broadcasted.
