Estranea al sentimentalismo e alla retorica, Jones ha scritto un romanzo in cui il dovere della memoria diventa un macigno, un fardello che spinge la protagonista verso un’esistenza in cui sesso e sopraffazione sono sempre in primo piano e sempre connessi tra loro.
