2018 release. Fang is an ambient progressive musician who emerged from the DIY-"cassette culture" '80s scene with a highly idiosyncratic style influenced by the traditional musics of non-Western cultures, including Javanese gamelan and the folk music of his Chinese ancestors. The rich electronic textures of his music are often complimented by Western and non-Western stringed instruments, winds and percussion. Fang has released 13 albums over the past three decades, including two ambient soundscape recordings under the project name, Sans Serif.

Das Leben zwischen Verlust und Hoffnung. Diesem hat sich Gregor F. Narholz in seiner Trilogie „Moments“ gewidmet. Für die Aufnahmen der ambitionierten Reihe hat es den Komponisten in die legendären Abbey Road Studios geführt.

Seit langer Zeit bin ich auf der Suche nach meinem persönlichen „Lost Valley“. Viele Erlebnisse müssen nun besungen und Geschichten wollen geteilt werden. Meine ersten Etappenziele erklangen ja schon 2017 – die EP’s „Blackbird“ und „Wild Strawberries”. Ab Spätsommer 2018 könnt Ihr mich nun endlich auf der Suche begleiten. Am 31. August erscheint nämlich mein Album „Lost Valley“ mit 11 Songs auf CD, Vinyl und digital.

Fucking Bliss is the second album to be released under the name American Pleasure Club, following 2018's A Whole Fucking Lifetime of This, but it was actually recorded by bandleader Sam Ray in 2015, when his group was still known as Teen Suicide. Ray made the album in nine days following a nearly suicidal mental breakdown – not the only one he's gone through – and it's easy to see why he would've been hesitant to release it at the time, particularly coming after Teen Suicide's It's the Big Joyous Celebration, Let's Stir the Honeypot.
