Anyone like me, who has a deep fondness for the great soprano but neve really collected her records will find a treasury of great singing. She was gifted with the most feminine, full, powerful voice in Italian opera between 1950 and the mid-Sixties. Not a long career, and overshadowed by the supreme greatness of Callas, who lasted alamost exactly as long. But at the Met, where she was the reigning diva, Tebaldi was the last word in Puccini and almost the last in Verdi.

Augusto, Roberto e Picasso sono tre furfanti di piccolo calibro, esperti nei classici bidoni con i quali truffare della povera gente. Quando la moglie di Picasso comincia ad avere dei dubbi sul'attività del marito, questi tronca ogni rapporto con i complici. Augusto invece tenta di fare un'altra truffa tentando di mettersi in tasca l'intero malloppo, ma i suoi nuovi compari non gliela faranno passare liscia.

Classe 1985, cantante e insegnante di canto. Si avvicina giovanissima alla musica grazie allo studio del pianoforte e della chitarra, per poi approdare allo studio del canto e del jazz con la Prof. ssa Martina Grossi. Diplomata con il massimo dei voti e la lode in Canto Jazz presso il Conservatorio “G. Rossini” di Pesaro sotto la guida del M° Bruno Tommaso. Attualmente studia con Diana Torto presso il Biennio di Canto Jazz del Conservatorio “G. Martini” di Bologna. Parallelamente studia inglese e spagnolo grazie alla laurea in “Comunicazione Interlinguistica Applicata”, conseguita presso la SSLMIT di Forlì. Approfondisce l’universo della voce grazie al Corso Universitario di Alto Perfezionamento in Vocologia Artistica, dove la sua tesi ottiene un encomio dalla commissione giudicante presieduta dal Dott. F. Fussi e dalla Dott. ssa S. Magnani.

Born in the northern port city of Trieste in 1912, the Italian composer Giulio Viozzi worked and lived in the region throughout his life before his death in Verona in 1984. He composed in a modal, melodic, diatonic language inflected by Bartok but essentially shaped by native traditions of cantabile writing whether for instruments or voices.

Banco del Mutuo Soccorso was one of the most accomplished of the progressive rock bands that flourished in Italy in the early 1970s. Their distinguishing features: the advanced compositional abilities of Vittorio Nocenzi; the fluid piano of brother Gianni Nocenzi, equally adept at classically styled arpeggios and jazzy punctuations; and the strong, operatic vocals of Francesco di Giacomo. They certainly had an angst to them that made them more than just your typically sunny-smiled, symphonic prog band. I think that the first two songs, "Canto Nomade per un Prigioniero Politico" and "Non Mi Rompete" stand out as easily the best on the album. "Canto Nomade" is a very successful extended suite that deeply broadened the band's sonic palette, liberally incorporating synthesizers (well, it was 1973 — the year that every progressive band seems to have learned to love synths) and diversifying the percussion. In fact, despite having some excellent organ and synthesizer passages, the most memorable parts of this track for me are the beautiful acoustic guitar interludes and the polyrhythmic percussion. "Non Mi Rompete" is largely acoustic and sports the most affecting melody on the album and some great Italian lyrics. These two tracks make up half of the album. The second half "La Cittá Sottile" and "Dopo… Niente è Piú lo Stesso" are nearly at the same level but occasionally succumb to prog-rock clichés. This is one one the greatest Italian prog releases.
