Virtuoso multi-instrumentalist Karunesh serves exquisite fare at Nirvana Café, melodic rhythms artfully and at times spiritedly blended with an array of flutes, strings, piano, keyboards and percussion. Zenrise is a collection of happy tunes based around the bright acoustic guitar sound of Bindu. Most cuts feature Bindu playing lead over his own double-tracked rhythm guitar accompaniment, with background keyboards, and touches of flute and percussion. From slower ballads to lively uptempo pieces, the overall mood is light and breezy, often reminiscent of Govi's Sky High. Recorded in Copenhagen, Zenrise was produced by Pushkar for the Danish Fonix label.
