Hans Zimmer Dune

One of the most prolific and influential film composers of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, Germany's Hans Zimmer began his music career in London, producing and playing synths for a variety of new wave and punk bands in the early 1980s.

Once again collaborating with director Gore Verbinski, composer Hans Zimmer fashions a wonderfully soulful and thoughtful score, expertly mixing pathos and hope, and heart and melancholy – the perfect complement to this unique and compelling film and its titular character’s tale of mid-life crisis and redemption. Jazz and reggae flavors infuse this lively and reflective musical work, lending a “jam” flourish to the overall score. Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC natural history series Frozen Planet II.

'Hans Zimmer LIVE' features more than two hours of new reimagined arrangements of some of the most popular compositions by the L.A.-based composer icon.
