Hard Wired

Wired Up album by Jeff Paris was released on the PolyGram Records label (1987). Wired Up CD contains a single disc with 10 songs.

Released in 1976, Jeff Beck's Wired contains some of the best jazz-rock fusion of the period. Wired is generally more muscular, albeit less-unique than its predecessor, Blow by Blow. Joining keyboardist Max Middleton, drummer Richard Bailey, and producer George Martin from the Blow by Blow sessions are drummer Narada Michael Walden, bassist Wilbur Bascomb, and keyboardist Jan Hammer. Beck contributed no original material to Wired, instead relying on the considerable talents of his supporting cast. Perhaps this explains why Wired is not as cohesive as Blow by Blow, seemingly more assembled from component parts. Walden's powerful drumming propels much of Wired, particularly Middleton's explosive opener, "Led Boots," where Beck erupts into a stunning solo of volcanic intensity. Walden also contributes four compositions, including the funk-infused "Come Dancing," which adds an unnamed horn section. While Walden's "Sophie" is overly long and marred by Hammer's arena rock clichés, his "Play With Me" is spirited and Hammer's soloing more melodic.

Coming off their most successful album yet, "Paradigm" (which includes the massive single 'Viva La Victoria'), Sweden's Eclipse are coming back with their new studio album “Wired.” Preceded by the single, an anthem for the ages, 'Saturday Night (Hallelujah)’ the new record sees the Swedish quartet going from strength to strength and, as they have done since the beginning, taking no prisoners. Some of the best songs of their career arrive on this record and it’s uplifting, and much needed, to be able to enjoy such a monster album in the aftermath of the pandemic age.

Chances are that you are in a creative career, or you wouldn’t be here looking at new ideas in psychology for your personal and financial growth. And if you aren’t in a creative career, you ought to be, even if that means that you steer your organized, analytical career in a new, innovative direction. And yet it is so true that in building a life, what men MUST face is that at the end of the day it’s not good enough just to “do work” or “go to work” or “to find your mission as a man.” The mission you find for your life DOES need to pay you back at the very LEAST to the degree of the amount of work you put into it.

Cinderella's Rocked, Wired & Bluesed: The Greatest Hits is intended to replace the 1997 compilation Once Upon A … as a full-length, single-disc retrospective on the group. Like Once Upon A …, it contains all eight of Cinderella's Billboard Hot 100 hits and 11 of its 12 entries in Billboard's Mainstream Rock radio chart. (In both cases, the exception is "Bad Attitude Shuffle.") But the newer collection adds the album tracks "Night Songs" from the debut album of the same name; "Bad Seamstress Blues/Fallin' Apart at the Seams," "Long Cold Winter," and "If You Don't Like It," from the second album, Long Cold Winter, and "Winds of Change" from the third album, Heartbreak Station.
