Make no mistake about it….. Of all the bands – let not call them side projects, as they are worth more than that – Ginger has been in whilst in The Wildhearts and without, MV has long held the suspicion that Hey! Hello! is the one he liked best. Originally emerging as part of a three album Pledge project a few years back, the shimmering, sunny completely unashamed rock n roll vibe of the record was at odds with the lyrics (in the way that Ginger’s best songwriting always was) and it spawned the quite fantastic “How I Survived The Punk Rock Wars”. All was set, then, for album number two.

Marc Brierley was a talented folk artist who made his name as a singer-songwriter during the second half of the Sixties. After making an EP in 1966 for Transatlantic, Marc signed with CBS for two albums, Welcome To The Citadel (1968) and Hello (1969), helped by some of the best musicians on the circuit. Both are now prized collectors items by fans of the Acid Folk era. UK folky MARC BRIERLEY and his rare debut album - 1968's "Welcome To The Citadel" on CBS Records - has been treated to a luxurious and expanded CD remaster by Cherry Tree in September 2014 (Cherry Tree is part of Cherry Red Records). Astropilot is an alias of Russian psybient music composer Dmitriy Redko. Redko has been composing soundscapes since 2000.
The project started with a psydub style on his debut album Fruits of the Imagination, as well as contributions on many albums and compilations released worldwide on various labels.
Over the years, Redko's music has evolved into a more spacy and progressive style and ranges from deep space ambient to atmospheric uptempo. Nowadays, his style comprises two main genres: space ambient and progressive chillout/midtempo.
