Talk about a tough act to follow. Back in 2014, Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado released Too Many Roads: the award-winning ninth album that saw the golden-voiced frontman and his seven-piece lineup showered with global acclaim. For the fans who had followed the Copenhagen band since their formation in 2003, it felt like a career-best release. But we were wrong.

Grand Funk Railroad, sometimes known as Grand Funk, is an American rock band that was very popular during the 1970s, they toured extensively and played to packed arenas worldwide. David Fricke of Rolling Stone magazine once said, "You cannot talk about rock in the 1970s without talking about Grand Funk Railroad!" Grand Funk Railroad has certainly had their fair share of compilations released over the years. This set takes the albums in the well named Trunk of Funk and releases them in two bite size chunks. For long time Grand Funk fans looking to replace their vinyl with remastered CDs, the two Trunk of Funks boxes are a good way to start. Included in the box one are the group's first four albums - their 1969 debut, On Time, and their 1970 trio of releases (something that is unheard of nowadays by modern rock bands), Grand Funk, Closer to Home, and Live Album - plus previously unreleased tracks. The original Dave Tedds masters have been used and each box has an essay by Malcolm Dome as well as original album credits.

Tony Award-winning Broadway legend BETTY BUCKLEY co-starring in the recent smash hit M. Night Shayamalan film Split opposite James McAvoy will come to the New York area this season for four appearances, including for two concerts in March to preview her new album Story Songs from Palmetto Records, to be released on Friday, April 7. Buckley also will be teaching a five-day performance workshop mid-March in New York.

Wisconsin-born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and guitarist, Jared James Nichols, returns with his new album “Black Magic” which is the follow up to 2015’s debut album “Old Glory & The Wild Revival”. “Black Magic” features 10 tracks and will be released by Listenable Records on Friday 27th October. All tracks on the new album were recorded at The Boneyard in Boston as well as Johnny Depp's home studio in Los Angeles and produced and co-written by Tony Perry and Jared James Nichols. Jared will be special guest on Stone Broken’s February and March UK tour which also features The Bad Flowers. The tour kicks off Thursday 22nd February at the Haunt in Brighton.
