Speaker-shredding blues with no redemption from this voodoo hillbilly punk combo Classic Rock Blues Dirty Spliff Blues" is Left Lane Cruiser's 5th album for Alive Naturalsound, and the first one as a trio. The blues-driven rock n roll noise combo, now firmly headed by slide guitarist and lead vocalist Freddy J IV (aka Joe Evans), with Joe Bent on bass and skateboard (yes, he uses his skateboard as an instrument), and with Pete Dio on drums and assorted trash, delivers another primal high voltage take on the boogie and Hill Country blues.

South East Kentucky is known for musical talent. Our own hometown is partially known because of the bluegrass megastars The Osborne Brothers. Lately though, a new musical force has stormed onto the scene and they’re already transcending the boundaries of Leslie County. They are Eddie Fee, John Sizemore, Doug Napier, and Neal Parrett, better known as Hillbilly J.E.D.

Collection includes 16 albums by American instrumental rock band Los Straitjackets. Los Straitjackets is a Nashville based band known primarily for performing instrumental surf music.

When Jerry Lee Lewis was recording for Sun records it was his most prolific period in my opinion and this great box set containing 128 of his best recordings is simply stunning. One of the best box sets out there. Each of the four discs contains plenty of vintage rock 'n' roll as well as a few country songs, an even some gospel and rhythm & blues ditties thrown in for good measure. Of course, all of the big hits are included, as well as some rare gems that will have you coming back for more. Also remarkable is the attention to detail in the beautiful booklet, which includes several terrific photos and a very informative biography. Also there's a very insightful commentary, complete with recording dates of every song in the collection.

With Monsters and Gods is The Hillbilly Moon Explosion’s new album release and is certainly their best. Who knew that Rock ’n’ Roll could still be so exhilarating … and musically diverse? The Hillbilly Moon Explosion are a half-English 4-piece, hidden away in the unlikely habitat of Switzerland where they have honed their craft without distraction for many years. Searching for the right sound they’ve previously recorded in San Diego, Camden and Tooting, but for this album they went back to the local Swiss studio where they made their early rockabilly albums, allowing more time to get it spot on. The line-up is chanteuse Emanuela Hutter, Oliver Baroni on vocals and stand-up bass, Duncan James on guitar and Sylvain Petite on drums. With Monsters and Gods was produced by Oliver Baroni as the band wanted “to reflect the somewhat harder edge you get from the months on the road.” and the result “is a louder, more rock’n’roll album.”
