Jazz Icons: Anita O’Day boasts two wonderful concerts from 1963 and 1970 that present the “jazz singer supreme” in impeccable form. O’Day’s horn-based approach to singing is in full effect throughout both shows including stand-out renditions in each show of audience favourites “Tea For Two” and “Sweet Georgia Brown” (both reprised from her triumphant appearance at the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival.) This DVD is a fitting testimony to one of jazz music’s true originals and shows unequivocally why she is ranked in the top tier of vocalists along with Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Billie Holiday.

From the original producers of the Slow Jams series comes a traditional take on the romance and splendor of the holiday season. Celebrating the spirit of Christmas with time-honored yuletide medleys, A Slow Jams Jazz Christmas puts a stylish spin on the Slow Jams brand. This album brings dreamy nostalgia of holidays gone by spent listening to jazz icons such as Dave Brubeck, Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, Vince Guaraldi, Coleman Hawkins, Oscar Peterson, and others. Slow Jams began as a late night radio show in 1994 by Kevin Slow Jammin James called Sunday Nite Slow Jams. It soon developed into a successful program and eventually became a series of CD compilations that blended old and new R&B love songs. Original Jazz Classics is re-envisioning the series with a new version of Slow Jams enchantment.

The spiritual descendent of clean-cut, wholesome pop icons like Pat Boone and Andy Williams, Daniel O'Donnell enjoys a massive fan base in Ireland, Britain, and beyond. He focuses on broad-reaching vocal and country material and in 2019 became the first artist to have at least one different charting album annually in the U.K. for 32 consecutive years. Born in County Donegal, Ireland, on December 12, 1961, O'Donnell was one of five children. His older sister Margo vaulted to national fame in 1968 when her country-inspired single "Dear God" topped the Irish charts, although her success was tempered by the death of their father that same year.
