EXTRAORDINARY BROADCAST RECORDING FROM JIMMY PAGE S OUTRIDER TOUR Following the split of Led Zeppelin in 1980, Jimmy Page became involved in numerous new projects. In 1982, he collaborated with director Michael Winner to record the Death Wish II soundtrack. This and several subsequent Page recordings, including the Death Wish III soundtrack, were recorded and produced at his recording studio, The Sol in Cookham, which he had purchased from Gus Dudgeon in the early 1980s. Acrobat has devoted a number of collections over the years to anthologies of the biggest hits in different years and decades across different genres, and this one fills a particular gap in the catalogue, bringing together all the records which featured at No. 1 in all of Billboard’s charts relating to the R&B market during the 1940s. In October 1942, Billboard launched the “Harlem Hit Parade”, which was replaced in February 1945 by the “Most Played Juke Box Race Records”, to which in 1948 was added the “Best Selling Retail Race Records”. This 97-track 4-CD collection features every record which reached No. 1 in any of those charts, apart from a few which are unavailable for copyright reasons. We have also included those from 1950, as it is arguably the final year of the decade, and we had space in the 4-CD format to accommodate them for the benefit of collectors who do not have our “R&B No. 1s of the ‘50s” set.

Shaken 'n' Stirred is the third solo album by former Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant, released in 1985 on the Es Paranza label. It featured his second Mainstream Rock Tracks top hit, "Little by Little", which was #1 on the chart for two weeks. Of course, Led Zeppelin comparisons are hardly the point. Unlike certain other acts, Plant has refrained from banking on the past. Instead, he's banking on the present, reinventing himself as a chameleon with a sharp ear for new sound.

Houses of the Holy is the fifth studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released on 28 March 1973 by Atlantic Records. It represents a turning point in musical direction for the group, who had begun to record songs with more layering and production techniques, in contrast to the simpler rock music heard on earlier albums. Although critical response was mixed, Houses of the Holy became a commercial success, and was later certified 11x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 1999. In 2012, the album was ranked at #148 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
