Most Aborym albums play like testimonies of sudden unpredictable turbulent mood swings. Bursts of rage and coldness give way to creeping anxiety, startling roughness give way to scenarios of loneliness and anguish. Harmonic noise predominate. Melodic motifs recur like the whole thing’s being hammered out as the tape rolls. With Hostile Aborym can be considered part of a select group of acts who have the unwanted distinction of being a band whereupon every note of music made after a certain point in time can be deemed something of a triumph. Where Aborym do succeed in bringing themselves full circle, it’s by mixing the acoustic elements, the search for the melody, the coldness of the machines and the industrial influences that surfaced on their Shifting.negative album. Hostile often acts like a cudgel, pounding sludgy guitars and the hip-swiveling grind of the rhythm section directly into the listener’s temporal lobe. Hanoi Rocks was a Finnish hard rock band formed in 1979, whose most successful period came in the early 1980s. The band broke up in 1985 after their drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley died in a car accident a year earlier. Original members vocalist Michael Monroe and guitarist Andy McCoy reunited in 2001 and were active with the new line-up of Hanoi Rocks until 2009. In the 80s, Hanoi Rocks were the most successful Finnish band internationally and are still popular in the United States, Japan, and the UK. They were also one of the first rock bands to tour in Asia, and were the first western rock band to play in Delhi.

'Hostile Defiance', Exumer's fifth full-length, is exactly what its title suggests. A 42-minute full on attack, the thrash faction hold nothing back as they unleash hell as only they can, yet with more variety and dynamics than ever before. "We wanted to sonically progress, incorporating more melodic elements in the music as well as more rhythmic variety," states vocalist Mem Von Stein. "We are a lot braver trying to create an up to date and relevant sound that can easily stand alone in today's thrash landscape without sounding trite or a throwback, and we're challenging the listener not to get too comfortable with one specific feel, tempo or pace. The result is a mixture of material comprising fast and thrashy numbers, melodic hooks and mid-tempo songs."
