Sarah Willis is a tireless ambassador for her instrument, the French horn, which she champions around the world. A horn player with the famous Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra since 2001, she launched what was soon to become a famous TV programme, ‘Sarah’s Music’, for Deutsche Welle in 2014, interviewing personalities ranging from Gustavo Dudamel to Wynton Marsalis. The award-winning programme presents music with warmth and in all its diversity.
Hand-made songs, delightfully crooked, like cigars. Songs for exquisite eardrums. Select quality for music- lovers and demanding collectors Cuban music for fun and pleasure. A luxury for a global minority. In MADE IN CUBA you will find a natural gathering of genres, periods, and the great figures and values of Cuban music. Songs that have walked through the doors of our lives and have comfortably installed themselves in the urban legens at the end of the millennium, driven by the warmth of a new way of thinking, apparently crossbred and global. Songs that bring a new understanding of both traditional and modern values. Made in Cuba is a duble album, the cream, the most expensive cohibas of Cuban music: Eliades Ochoa, Compay Segundo, Los Van Van, Benny More, Bola de Nieve, firahilfi'fierrer, el Trlo Matamoros, Pepesito Reyes, Celia Cruz, Cachao, La Lupe and El Guayabero amongst others…
In 2006, the Berman Brothers (Frank & Christian) created and produced the Album “Rhythms del Mundo”, a non-profit collaborative effort which fused an all-star cast of Cuban musicians including Ibrahim Ferrer and Omara Portuondo of the Buena Vista Social Club. The new album released on the occasion of the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. Just as “Rhythms del Mundo” Cuba, it contains rearranged pop hits, but this time in a Brazilian Samba and Bossa Nova sound garment. In order to achieve the authenticity that also distinguished “Rhythms del Mundo: Cuba, the Berman Brothers recorded with Brazilian musicians, as well as internationally popular pop-voices.
