Bevor sie ihr Gelübde ablegt, muss sie Wanda (Agata Kulesza) besuchen, ihre einzige lebende Verwandte. Wanda erzählt Anna, dass sie Jüdin sei. Für beide Frauen beginnt eine Reise, die sie nicht nur zu ihrer tragischen Familiengeschichte führt, sondern ihnen auch zeigt, wer sie wirklich sind und wo sie hingehören. Sie hinterfragen ihre Religionen und die Ideale, an die sie geglaubt haben. Beide versuchen sie, ihr Leben weiterzuleben, aber nur eine von ihnen schafft es.

Master of the House, or in literal translation Thou Shalt Honour Thy Wife, is set in the household of John. He treats his wife Mary badly, carping on every little thing and never having a kind word to say. Eventually his maltreatment drives his long-suffering wife into a breakdown, and she leaves him to recuperate in the country. This enables his one-time wet nurse Nana to concoct a plan to give John his comeuppance and restore the family to its formerly harmonious state.

15-year-old fashion blogger and city girl Ida hates every second of her new life, having just moved with her parents to a small farm in Nordland in the rural parts of northern Norway. Matters turn from bad to worse when her mother forces her to meet the locals, making Ida realise how mismatched she and her new surroundings really are. Ida decides to run away, but things do not turn out as she plans, and on her way back to town she encounters a horse by the name of Kehilan - and suddenly life gets new meaning…

Together as one, they're fighting crime their own way…but now, these two beauties find themselves squaring off against old nemesis, Ken Zhang, a deposed crime lord who is forced into exile after his men first clashed with the Angel Terminators. Now he's back with his loyal bodyguards, led by Miss Nishiwaki and ready to reclaim the spoils of his near-fallen empire. After his return, Ken tries to reconcile with Carrie, his former mistress and Hon's cousin, who is not happy to see him and has given up her old life to marry a young detective who works with Ida and Hon. However, tragedy strikes the group in more ways than one when Hon's family gets in the way of Ken's business and murder starts hitting too close to home. After Ida is framed for the death of a fellow officer who was 'on the take', the battle to bring Ken down gets personal and for the Angel Terminators, 'martial law' will be the only law that counts!
