Image Segmentation

In this book, the fundamental theories of these techniques will be introduced. Particularly, their applications in the image enhancement are briefly summarized. The techniques developed in this area so far require to be summarized in an appropriate way.

In this book authors have attempted to put together state-of-the-art research and developments in segmentation and pattern recognition.

The 70 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 145 submissions. The papers feature current research on mathematical methods and computing techniques for pattern recognition, computer vision, image analysis, and speech recognition, as well as their applications in such diverse areas as robotics, industry, health, entertainment, space exploration, telecommunications, data mining, document analysis, and natural language processing and recognition to name only few of them.
