Error Systems: Concepts, Theory and Applications

Error Systems: Concepts, Theory and Applications by Kaizhong Guo
English | PDF,EPUB | 2020 | 360 Pages | ISBN : 3030407594 | 88 MB

This book offers a new perspective and deeper understanding of complex socioeconomic systems, and explores the laws and mechanisms of erring by revealing the system structure, i.e., the context in which errors are imbedded. It proposes a number of new concepts for the field of systems science concerning the forces affecting e.g. system structure, subsystem structures, and system elements.

UWB Communication Systems: A Comprehensive Overview

UWB Communication Systems: A Comprehensive Overview (EURASIP Book Series on Signal Processing and Communications) (Eurasip Signal Processing and Communications) by Maria-Gabriella Di Benedetto
Hindawi Publishing Corporation | May 31, 2006 | English | ISBN: 9775945100 | 497 pages | PDF | 23 MB

Ultrawideband (UWB) communication systems offer an unprecedented opportunity to impact the future communication world. The enormous available bandwidth, the wide scope of the data rate / range trade-off, as well as the potential for very low-cost operation leading to pervasive usage, all present a unique opportunity for UWB systems to impact the way people and intelligent machines communicate and interact with their environment.

From theory to techniques, the first all-in-one resource for EIS

There is a clear demand in advanced process industries, defense, and Internet and communication (VoIP) applications for intelligent yet adaptive/evolving systems. Evolving Intelligent Systems is the first self- contained volume that covers this newly established concept in its entirety, from a systematic methodology to case studies to industrial applications. Featuring chapters written by leading world experts, it addresses the progress, trends, and major achievements in this emerging research field, with a strong emphasis on the balance between novel theoretical results and solutions and practical real-life applications.

Intelligent Systems: Approximation by Artificial Neural Networks by George A. Anastassiou
English | PDF | 2011 | 113 Pages | ISBN : 3642214304 | 1.08 MB

This brief monograph is the first one to deal exclusively with the quantitative approximation by artificial neural networks to the identity-unit operator. Here we study with rates the approximation properties of the "right" sigmoidal and hyperbolic tangent artificial neural network positive linear operators. In particular we study the degree of approximation of these operators to the unit operator in the univariate and multivariate cases over bounded or unbounded domains. This is given via inequalities and with the use of modulus of continuity of the involved function or its higher order derivative. We examine the real and complex cases.
