This set contains singles and demos as well as BBC sessions and three live shows from the era. Compiled in conjunction with Fall expert Conway Patton and has notes by Fall guru Daryl Easlea and have been mastered by long time engineer Andy Pearce with art by Becky Stewart.

This is the 1993 edition of the Trademark Of Quality promotional sampler made by Warner Bros/Reprise. The title and cover art is in honor of the bootleg record label Trademark Of Quality (TMOQ) and itfeatures artists from their alternative and hip-hop departments, including a few things that hadn't been publicly released or was in limited edition. Warner Bros./Reprise released a new Trademark Of Quality disc once a year for a few years, this one is the second.

Spilt Milk is the 1993 record that seamlessly blended Manning's penchant for the lush vocal harmonies and detailed pop composition of bands like Queen and XTC with Andy Sturmer's quick-witted, sardonic lyrical sensibility. With the exception of gentle opener "Hush", there's not a track on here that doesn't hide some inventive turn of phrase or piercingly clever insight, whether it's describing the happy-go-lucky protagonist of "Sebrina, Paste and Plato" as a "love-a-tarian", or filling nearly every line of "He's My Best Friend" with sly innuendo. And despite employing a wider vocabulary than many of his contemporaries, Sturmer's writing still rolls off the tongue marvelously, never sounding forced or pretentious.

Ten Summoner's Tales Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine
After two albums of muted, mature jazz-inflected pop, the last being an explicit album about death, Sting created his first unapologetically pop album since the Police with Ten Summoner's Tales. The title, a rather awkward pun on his given last name, is significant, since it emphasizes that this album is a collection of songs, without any musical conceits or lyrical concepts tying it together. And, frankly, that's a bit of a relief after the oppressively somber The Soul Cages and the hushed though lovely, Nothing Like the Sun. Sting even loosens up enough to crack jokes, both clever (the winking litany of celebrity pains of "Epilogue[Nothing 'Bout Me]") and condescending (the sneeringly catchy cowboy tale "Love Is Stronger Than Justice[The Munificent Seven]"), and the result is his best solo record. In places, it's easily as pretentious as his earlier work, but that's undercut by writing that hasn't been this sharp and melodic since the Police, plus his most varied set of songs since Synchronicity. True, there isn't a preponderance of flat-out classics – only the surging opener "If I Ever Lose My Faith in You," the understated swing of "It's Probably Me," and the peaceful ballad "Fields of Gold" rank as classics – but, as an album, Ten Summoner's Tales is more consistently satisfying than anything else in his catalog.

Esperanto is the 1993 album by Elektric Music, the pseudonym for Kraftwerk's Karl Bartos. This was released by SPV in Germany, EastWest in Europe, Atlantic in the US.
