Project: Regeneration Vol. 1 is the seventh studio album by American industrial metal band Static-X, released on July 10, 2020[8] by Otsego Entertainment Group, distributed by The Orchard Music, a subsidiary of Sony Music. It is the band's first studio album in eleven years following Cult of Static (2009), and their first album not on Warner Bros. or Reprise Records. The album features part of the last recordings of deceased front man Wayne Static, who died in 2014, with his role being filled by a new front man credited as "Xer0". Project Regeneration sees the return of the original Static-X lineup—bassist Tony Campos, guitarist and programmer/keyboardist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay—and was produced by Ulrich Wild, who has produced and/or mixed all but two albums by the band in the past.

Pure X is the last band, has always been the last band. Not that there won’t be future acts, more that Pure X understands that all this pageantry, this civilization is wrapping up. It burned hot and bright like thermite used to bust a safe open, but now is the age of radiating waves, each one buckles the foundation more than the last.

X-ray Phase-Contrast Imaging Using Near-Field Speckles by Marie-Christine Zdora

This thesis presents research on novel X-ray imaging methods that improve the study of specimens with small density differences, revealing their inner structure and density distribution. Exploiting the phase shift of X-rays in a material can significantly increase the image contrast compared to conventional absorption imaging. This thesis provides a practical guide to X-ray phase-contrast imaging with a strong focus on X-ray speckle-based imaging, the most recently developed phase-sensitive method.
X-ray speckle-based imaging only requires a piece of abrasive paper in addition to the standard X-ray imaging setup. Its simplicity and robustness combined with the compatibility with laboratory X-ray sources, make it an ideal candidate for wide user uptake in a range of fields. An in-depth overview of the state of the art of X-ray speckle-based imaging and its latest developments is given in this thesis. It, furthermore, explores a broad range of applications, from X-ray optics characterisation, to biomedical imaging for 3D virtual histology and geological studies of volcanic rocks, demonstrating is promising potential. Moreover, the speckle-based technique is placed in the context of other phase-sensitive X-ray imaging methods to assist in the choice of a suitable method, hence serving as a guide and reference work for future users.

The long-awaited re-release of the entire Planet X catalog has finally arrived, in the form of one lavishly bundled digipak. This 4-CD set has been re-mastered by Simon Phillips and includes a twenty-page booklet packed with photos, liner notes, and a detailed history of the band and the music. Packaged in deluxe O-Sleeve In a world of recycled or transient musical ideas, it's rare for any band to be truly ground-breaking and innovative. Too often, acts merely create poorly executed retrograde musical concepts that could never be classed as genre-leading. There are of course a few exceptions, many of whom are more familiar names to the uninitiated than Planet X. Yet this band was able to accomplish what others merely dreamed of - inventing their own genre and leaving a high watermark for others to attempt and equal. Featured artists include Derek Sherinian, Virgil Donati, Brett Garsed, Allan Holdsworth, Jimmy Johnson, Tony MacAlpine, Dave Larue, and Tom Kennedy.
