On The Edge Of A Lost And Lonely World is the sophomore album from Humanist, the moniker of frequent Mark Lanegan collaborator Rob Marshall. The album features an array of guests including Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan, Midlake's Tim Smith, Isobel Campbell, and Ed Harcourt, amongst others. Commenting on the album, Marshall says… "During a time when the world seemed to teeter off it's axis, and I grappled with personal illness and losses, music became my lifeline once more. Like a soothing medication, each note and lyric offered a glimmer of hope in the midst of darkness. Collaborating on the tracks felt like a shared journey through the universal language of music, allowing me to find my voice amidst the chaos. The title, On The Edge Of A Lost And Lonely World, felt deeply fitting then and continues to resonate now, embodying the essence of this profound musical exploration. I truly believe this album represents my finest work yet, a testament to resilience and the power of art to illuminate even the darkest of times."

Singer and songwriter Sean Rowe is possessed of a truly singular voice. On Magic, his Anti debut in 2011, it seemed to rumble straight up from the depths of the earth to shake the listener's ground. Though the stark guitar and voice production were a bit rigid, Rowe's songs, even when a tad clumsy, carried within them a singular vision of the natural world and an experiential poetry that was easily communicated to listeners through that powerful voice. The Salesman and the Shark stands in contrast to its predecessor. Produced by Woody Jackson, Rowe is backed by a band on most tracks, as well as various backing singers (who include Petra Haden and Isobel Campbell), and an occasional string section (Octetto Magnifico).

The Jesus and Mary Chain fronted by the Reid brothers Jim and William, released their long awaited studio album "Damage and Joy" – their first album since "Munki", released back in the summer of 1998. Including lead track ‘Amputation’ and a re-energised new version of ‘All Things Must Pass’ which previously featured in the TV show ‘Heroes’.

Rose Melberg is a musician and songwriter from Sacramento, California who has sung and played guitar as a member of Tiger Trap, The Softies and Go Sailor. She also played drums and made some songwriting contributions with the band Gaze. Melberg was raised by working musicians and following her appearance right out of high school at the International Pop Underground Convention in Olympia, Washington in 1991, she had almost instant success with the all-female Tiger Trap. The short-lived band garnered something of a cult following in indie-pop circles. As of 2006 she was married with one child and living near Vancouver, Canada.

Over the course of the albums, Mark Lanegan advances as a lone wolf, always leaving to experiment or change violently of Brack. Since Blues Funeral in 2012, the former Screaming Trees singer has resumed his solo career, not content with his piges at Queens Of The Stone Age or his (sublime) duets with Isobel Campbell.
