Stewart. The mainly instrumental album debuted on #4 in the Dutch album chart and was certified Gold. The album peaked at #22 in the Billboard Album Top 100, #27 in the UK Album chart and sold in excess of one million copies worldwide and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album. Dressed in a white jumpsuit, legs crossed, sandy blond hair perfectly coiffed, and sitting in a comfy tan chair with her trusty alto sax, Candy Dulfer looks perfectly angelic on the cover of her third album, For the Love of You. Some of the goofy shots on the inside sleeve cast her in the more mischievous light of her almost lookalike Jenny McCarthy, but the overall packaging – and that dazzling smile – caresses the eyes with femininity. But her deeper musical dimensions are decidedly masculine.

For The Love Of You – it is fourth album by Candy Dulfer. It was released in October 1997. Candy Dulfer looks perfectly angelic on the cover of her album. But her deeper musical dimensions are decidedly masculine. Once she starts to blow, Dulfer is as aggressive, gritty, and boisterous as her primary alto inspirations, David Sanborn and Maceo Parker. She also invokes the groove intensive rock-soul flavors of Prince, who enlisted Dulfer to play on numerous projects in the early ‘90s (when he was still Prince) after she played on the road with Pink Floyd - hardly a pastel-and-angora kind of pedigree.

Sax-a-Go-Go is the second album by Dutch alto saxophonist Candy Dulfer. It entered the Billboard Top Contemporary Jazz Album chart at #5 in February 1994, remaining in the chart for 31 weeks. The album "is dedicated to the loving memory of Beppie" and includes a version of Eugene McDaniels' Vietnam War protest song "Compared to What", first recorded by Roberta Flack on her debut album First Take (1969). "I Can't Make You Love Me" was a hit for Bonnie Raitt on her album Luck of the Draw (1991).

Raven’s 2010 two-fer combines Helen Reddy’s final two albums for Capitol Records: 1977’s "Ear Candy" and 1978’s "We’ll Sing in the Sunshine", both co-productions with Kim Fowley. Ear Candy qualifies as a genuine oddity in Reddy’s catalog, a record that finds the queen of Australian soft rock paired with the king of L.A. sleaze, Kim Fowley, and his henchman Earle Mankey, a pair who were just coming off of the teenage kicks of the Runaways.

Is Candy Dulfer a jazz saxophonist with a feel for funk or a funk player with a jazz side to her musical personality? On FUNKED UP, she leans toward the latter. While there is some smooth melodious jazz here, most of this set is geared to paying tribute to old-school funk–Parliament, Funkadelic, James Brown, and the earliest efforts by Kool & the Gang and Rick James. There’s some rapping along with overtones of reggae rhymes and Latin rhythms, but for the most part FUNKED lives up to its title, with Dulfer’s heated sax shining throughout. This special edition of FUNKED UP! also includes a second disc of Candy Dulfer "chill-out" instrumentals.

"Havana Candy" was Patti Austin's second solo album and was produced by Dave Grusin and Larry Rosen. Stylistically, it's very similar to its predecessor and Patti's passionate and emotive vocals are truly magical and spellbinding on gorgeous ballads like "I Just Want To Know", "Little Baby" and "That's Enough For Me". While not commercially successful, "Havana Candy" is a Patti Austin classic which anyone who loves good music should not miss out on.
