"Energy" is the 5th studio album by The Pointer Sisters, released in 1978 on the Planet label. After a brief split following sister Bonnie's departure from the group, a musically reinvented and recharged Pointer Sisters returned composed of Ruth, Anita and June. Their first album for Planet, this was also the first album produced by Richard Perry. The record spawned a #2 pop smash (and Gold-certified single) with a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Fire". "Happiness" also scored on the U.S. pop Top 40. "Energy" became the group's first Gold-certified release since 1974's "That's a Plenty".

It’s almost impossible to put into words just how amazing the year of 2018 has been for A State Of Trance and Trance music as a whole. Between introducing the video broadcast of A State Of Trance to the radio studio set-up and hosting several phenomenal ASOT events in places such as Utrecht in the Netherlands, Melbourne in Australia, Gliwice in Poland and more, we got to introduce loads of new, exciting Trance tunes to the fans and listeners every single week, which got us so many inspiring and unforgettable moments. And now, we launched the one thing able to capture all of those moments in one two-disc album: ‘A State Of Trance Year Mix 2018 (Mixed by Armin van Buuren)’.

"Rock Of The Westies" is the 10th studio album by English musician Elton John, released in October 1975. As with "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy", "Rock Of The Westies" debuted on the US Billboard 200 chart at #1, the only two albums at that time to have done so. It was also successful (albeit to a lesser extent) in the artist's home territory of the UK, where it reached #5 on the UK Albums Chart. Robert Christgau ranked it as #7 on his list of the best albums of 1975. The title is a play on the phrase "West of the Rockies", the album having been recorded at Caribou Ranch in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

There was a two-year gap between the release of the s/t "Kiki Dee" album in 1977 and 1979's "Stay With Me". The latter however proved that Kiki had lost none of her unique and powerful vocal range, and featured nine songs that underlined the considerable experiences that she had gone through in the preceding six years.

Chas McDevitt for one, had a number of hits and was indeed huge in the States for a while. Meanwhile Lonnie's nemeses The Vipers were always hot on his heels trying to stop him nicking their songs! Then who could ever forget Johnny Duncan's "Last Train To San Fernando" or Dick Bishop's "It Takes A Worried Man". Along the way we feature classic British jazzmen Ken Colyer and Chris Barber both of whom found some success with this most limited of musical genres. And let's not forget the ladies of Skiffle, the legendary Peggy Seeger is featured here, as are Beryl Bryden and Betty Smith.
