Although he had very few major hits Wilbert Harrison is still remembered and revered today for perhaps just two recordings. His 1959 version of Leiber and Stoller's "K.C. Loving", retitled "Kansas City" by Wilbert and his 1962 recording of his own song "Let's Stick Together". Here for the first time in one package Jasmine present all the A and B sides of every single he released between 1953 and 1962, and as the 40 tracks on this collection show, he was anything but a two hit wonder. With many rare blues and R&B recordings this has to be the definitive Wilbert Harrison collection.

Eddie Taylor was considered one of the greatest of all guitarists active during the heyday of Chicago blues scene. However despite featuring on numerous hit records he never had a hit under his own name, he was to be forever in the shadow of the artists he performed with during the period covered by this CD collection. Tracks such as "Ice Cream Man", "Lifetime Blues", "Bad Boy", "Big Town Playboy", "Dimples" exude a real quality and despite them not initially achieving hit status have now quite rightfully gone on to be Chicago blues classics. Eddie Taylor never really achieved the stardom he so richly deserved, he was though a very important element in the sub-genre of Chicago blues and without his presence on so many hit records would have been notably poorer. This great CD set from Jasmine showcases his early contributions and what a great guitarist and musician he was.

However what is often neglected when discussing his career are his own recordings and this 2CD set from Jasmine attempts to collect together all of these recordings for Imperial records between 1950 and 1962. Features 57 superb slices of early New Orleans R&B with tracks such as 'Jump Children', 'Shrimp and Gumbo', 'Hard Times (The Slop)' 'When The Saints Come Marching In Boogie' and his first version 'Little Girl Sing Ding-A-Ling' which later became a hit for Chuck Berry in 1972.
