Jason Scheff replaced Peter Cetera in 1985 to join the group "Chicago" as their tenor lead vocalist and bass player. In 1997 Jason released his first solo effort, Chauncy. All the songs on this album were the best Scheff had that hadn't been released yet so he decided to make somewhat of an *art project*. Purposely avoiding the grand production of the times he kept things much more sparse to let the songs speak for themselves.
