The Jay & Kai + 6: The Jay And Kai Trombone Octet is the 1956 collaboration album between trombonists J.J. Johnson and Kai Winding, who bring in six other trombonists to create their trombone all stars. This was also released as being by The Jay And Kai Trombone Octet and titled The Jay & Kai + 6. This was remastered and reissued in 1995 by Columbia France.

This set includes 216 tracks from 34 sessions across 10 CDs, with many alternate takes so you can evaluate the evolution of a tune as the music itself was evolving.
