Kelsey fell in love with music when she was very young, and was improvising songs even before she learned to read. At age five, she began classical piano training, and learned to balance form and technicality while developing her own voice as an artist. Accomplished piano vocalist, Katrina Harris has extensive experience performing around the world at five star venues for weddings, special events, and sophisticated gatherings. A Master of Music graduate from Sydney University, Katrina is in demand as a piano and vocal teacher, having taught privately and within schools for over 20 years. When she's not performing or teaching, you will find Katrina in her home studio, composing, arranging and recording original music.

Perception Productions, a New York based label that ran from the late 60s through until 1974, was a strangely eclectic affair. Its roster stretched from a radical Afro-American poet through to the pop band King Harvest whose hit ‘Dancing In The Moonlight’ became a massive hit for the UK band Toploader a couple of decades later. The inbetween points covered jazz, funk, vocal harmony soul and proto-disco. In fact distilled down into this compilation the label provides us a view of Manhattan’s black music scene of the period, from the established greats to the fresh young things who would make their mark in the coming years. The two men who ran the label, President Terry Phillips and Boo Frazier burned brightly for that half a decade before almost entirely disappearing from the music scene.

Raised in Cecilia, Kentucky and now domiciled in Destin, Florida, sax player Michael J Thomas may yet turn out to be the smooth jazz find of 2010. His debut CD, City Beat , which hits the streets on March 2, is a tremendously accomplished piece of work and, given that Thomas writes or co-writes all but one of ten choice tracks, proves also to be a wonderful showcase for his art. Thomas s writing partner is guitarist Shannon Wallace who co- produces and performs with him throughout. Together, with a tight group of backing musicians, they deliver a tremendously commercial collection that has every prospect of doing very well. <P> The album opens with the sophisticatedly cool Midtown Manhattan .

"Light as a Feather" is the second studio album by jazz fusion band Return to Forever led by pianist Chick Corea. The style of the music remains mostly the same as the first album, though vocals were given a larger role. Corea produced the album for Polydor Records. Stanley Clarke played double bass, though for most of his career he has played bass guitar.
