Jeremiah

Different Rooms is a collection of songs and musical motifs we composed, edited, and collaged in the weeks between late 2024 and early 2025. Most of the recorded material was performed during that editing process, except for live performances taken from improvisations we recorded with Jeff Parker and Josh Johnson some time in 2023. In our typical process, much of our material is collaged and combines moments of live improvisation, field recordings, and in-studio experimentation. This record, however, marks an evolution in our approach to studio production.

Never underestimate the power of a woman with her back to the wall. In March 2020, as Covid blew across the planet, the shutters came down on live venues and recording studios, and the music scene fell suddenly silent, Ghalia Volt faced the same dilemma as every other artist. What now? The answer was One Woman Band. Having joined with the cream of the US roots scene for two acclaimed albums, 2017s Let The Demons Out and 2019s Mississppi Blend, Volts rebirth as a solo performer wasnt a decision made lightly.

This album was what got me first hooked on Hilliard & Co. It's a very touching music that left me in tears. Well, kinda. At any rate, here's a double-shot: one from the Hilliard Ensemble, and another rendition from the Deller Consort.It goes without saying that nobody pumps more life into this category than notre ami, papa scarabou. Fire Sign is the 2011 album by clarinetist Jeremiah Cymerman. This was released by Tzadik as part of the label's Composer Series and is one of two albums Cymerman made for the label.

Leonard Bernstein's association with the Israel Philharmonic began early in his career as a conductor and composer, and in 1977 the orchestra organized a Bernstein Festival to mark the 30th anniversary of their first concert together. The festival lasted two weeks and consisted solely of works composed by Bernstein. Later that same year, in August of 1977, they appeared together at the Berlin Festival, which is when (and where) these live performances were recorded.

Purification/Dissolution is the 2012 album by jazz experimentalist Jeremiah Cymerman. This was released on his own 5049 label.
