Dunedin Consort continues to apply its pioneering approach to recordings by releasing two alternative performing versions of one of Handel’s greatest dramatic works, Samson. This is the Full Chorus Version.
This version employs an authentic Handelian chorus, comprising both boy trebles from the Tiffin Boys' Choir and solo sopranos – a sonority largely unheard in the modern age.

Roden was singer with the Alan Bown Set ('60s) and Bronco ('70s) before going solo on the Island label. Only two Roden albums have ever been available on CD anywhere in the world. Roden has sung/played on albums by Robert Palmer, Paul Kossoff, John Martyn, Mott the Hoople and Jim Capaldi and came from the same West Midlands music scene as Led Zeppelin. He stepped into the late Jim Morrison s shoes when remaining Doors became the Butts Band and worked with legendary New Orleans producer Allen Toussaint.

Demolishing all boundaries and pushing the artistic envelope beyond all expectations Ubu is a triumphant return to the file-card studio technique that produced such masterpieces as Spillane, Elegy, Kristallnacht and Femina. A bizarre musical portrait of the subversive writer Alfred Jarry, Ubu is one of Zorn's greatest and most outrageous creations.Also included are two pieces performed by the International Contemporary Ensemble–one inspired by radical French poet Charles Baudelaire, and Oviri, a touching elegy to artist Paul Gauguin.
