Feeling Good is well named: the feelgood vibe is strong and the love of music that reaches out from this album is pretty much guaranteed to leave listeners with a similarly good feeling. It's the second album from Joan Chamorro - bassist, saxophonist and director of Barcelona's Sant Andreu Jazz Band - and the band's star member, the teenage singer and instrumentalist Andrea Motis. Chamorro's name may come first, but it's Motis' personality that shines through most strongly on Feeling Good. Chamorro can take much of the credit for this - he's mentored Motis and other members of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band for some years, creating a band with the talent and maturity that belies the ages of its members (who are between 9 and 20 years old)…

The video series "The Jazz House Sessions", started in 2018, and with more than 150 videos (and the list is still growing) reflects part of our history, as well as the evolution of the young musicians who participate in the recordings.

The Jamboree once again hosts the premiere of a reference from the famous record collection ‘Joan Chamorro presents…’, in which figures from the categories of Andrea Motis, Joan Mar Sauqué have recorded their first works, Rita Payés, Eva Fernández, Alba Armengou, Elia Bastida and a long et cetera. Disc number 20 in this series is dedicated to Koldo Munné, saxophonist, singer and composer who has been part of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band for ten years. At the Jamboree, Munné and Chamorro will have top musicians: Josep Traver, Marc Martín and Arnau Julià, apart from some surprises that will make this concert a very special evening.

Joan Chamorro studied saxophone at the Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona under Adolf Ventas. He also graduated the music school Taller de Músics in Barcelona.He has played with Slide Hampton, Tete Montoliu, Frank Foster, Teddy Edwards, Frank Wess, Bebo Valdés, Randy Brecker, Gary Smulyan, Dick Oatts, Jessie Davis, Dennis Rowland, Carmen Lundy, John Mosca, David Allen, Bobby Shew, and Judy Niemack. He was part of the Big Band del Taller de músics, the Big Band de Bellaterra, John Dubuclet's Big Band, the Big Band Jazz Terrassa, and Eladio Reinón-Tete Montoliu's Supercombo.

However, Joan Chamorro, director of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, took advantage of the situation and recorded different rehearsals with small groups at the Jazz House, headquarters of the SAJB. They will be released as Jazzing 11 vol. 2 and Jazzing 11 vol. 3.Finally, it was possible to perform within the framework of the Barcelona Jazz Festival 2020, a concert that was also recorded and that will be released as Jazzing 11 vol. 4.
