John The Revelator

Back in 1970 the Dutch blues band John The Revelator won the prestigious Loosdrecht Jazz Concours. Record label Decca immediately offered them a recording contract, which resulted in the release of the legendary album "Wild Blues". Now, approaching the 50th anniversary the band toying with the idea of releasing a box set to celebrate this special occasion. For the new album were invited the original Wild Blues guys from 1970: Charles van den Heuvel (piano), Fred Huissen (drums), Charles van der Steeg (tenor saxophone) and co-founder Jos de Wilde (slide).

Approaching our 50th anniversary we have been toying with the idea of releasing a box set to celebrate this special occasion. For the new album we invited the original Wild Blues guys from 1970: Charles van den Heuvel (piano), Fred Huissen (drums), Charles van der Steeg (tenor saxophone) and co-founder Jos de Wilde (slide). Great to see everyone invited was still playing and still had the blues feel from the early days. Even after all those years it felt like they never left the band. Most of the tracks were recorded live in one take, just like the good old Wild Blues days. The results can be heard on the new double album “50 & Beyond”.

Jack White and Third Man Records aren't known for being conventional - so this summer, when the White Stripes’ third album White Blood Cells turns 20 - instead of a reissue - they will release White Blood Cells XX - an anniversary companion to the original album. The release will be part of the label's Vault Package.

1999 was a pivotal year for the White Stripes. From recording their first album through rumors of the band’s demise and embarking on their first-ever tour, the band worked extremely hard and was fortunate to see small but incremental gains from their efforts. Third Man Records is humbled to explore the depths of the band, their self-titled album and the entirety of their 1999 for our 42nd Vault package, THE WHITE STRIPES XX.

"Playing The Angel | The 12" Singles" contains a total of ten 12" vinyl records in this collector's edition issued as a deluxe box set, representing the single releases from Depeche Mode's eleventh studio album "Playing The Angel" released in October 2005, and which, in addition to the actual tracks "Precious", "A Pain That I'm Used To", "Suffer Well" and "John The Revelator / Lilian", are also extensively equipped with B-sides, remixes, instrumental and dub versions, as well as other recordings from the album environment. The tenth and final disc, specially compiled for this collection, offers B-sides and remixes that were scattered on CDs and maxi-singles at the time

Revelator is the title of a 1993 EP by guitarist Phil Keaggy, released as a "sneak peek" at his next full-length album, Crimson and Blue.
