1000 Hands: Chapter One is the fifteenth studio album by English singer-songwriter and musician Jon Anderson, released March 2019. The album originates from sessions for a project to have been called Uzlot (a northern English pronunciation of "us lot") that Anderson had been recording in Big Bear, California, with Brian Chatton in around 1990. Anderson asked his then Yes bandmates Chris Squire and Alan White to play on the project too. At the time, Yes were preparing for a tour and Anderson put the master tapes in his garage and, as he has recounted, gave them very little thought for many years. In 2016, producer Michael Franklin contacted Anderson about using the tapes and finishing an album. Further recordings followed at Solar Studios in Orlando, Florida. Along with some newly written material, the final result is 1000 Hands.

Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the British horror comedy Slaughterhouse Rulez. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jon Ekstrand (Life, Easy Money, Child 44, Borg vs McEnroe). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Slaughterhouse Rulez is co-written and directed by Crispian Mills and stars Asa Butterfield, Finn Cole, Hermione Corfield, Michael Sheen, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg. The movie is set in an illustrious British boarding school that becomes a bloody battleground when a mysterious sinkhole appears at a nearby fracking site, unleashing unspeakable horror. The comedy was just released in British theaters yesterday by Sony Pictures UK.

Paul Haslinger and Ben Frost are the lead composers of Rainbow Six: Siege, the newest installment of Ubisoft's first-person shooter franchise based on the Tom Clancy novels. Haslinger is a veteran film, television and game composer who has previously scored titles in the Rainbow Six, Far Cry and Need For Speed franchises. By contrast, Melbourne-born, Reykjavic-based recording artist Ben Frost is a newcomer to game scoring, but has produced several acclaimed minimalist albums in the past. Leon Purviance also contributed to the soundtrack.
