Initially lurching from the UK noise underground in 2003 like a bedraggled audial creature rendered from toxic waste in a VHS horror movie, the musical growth rate of Hey Colossus has been quite a spectacle to observe. Yet from the nightmarish murk of early driller-killer works such as 2004's debut 'Hates You' and 2008's 'Happy Birthday' to more recent nuggets of perversity like 2013's 'Cuckoo Live Life Like Cuckoo', this beast has mutated and evolved into something uncommonly alluring.

2011 two CD collection from the British duo. From the late '80s, The Beloved spent a decade enjoying great success that wholeheartedly embraced dance music and played their part in heralding the acid age. After first emerging with the ambient-styled single 'The Sun Rising, The Beloved then scored an international hit with 'Hello', a bubbling techno exercise which name-checked many of the group's influences. The group enjoyed chart success on no fewer than 11 occasions, cracking the Top 10 with 1993 hit 'Sweet Harmony' and causing a media-stir with a rather risqu video. The track featured on the highly successful album Conscience, just one of their four chart albums, and this collection features no fewer than 10 tracks from that smash hit album. 31 tracks total.

In May 1981 B-Movie and Soft Cell went into Advision Studios in London with the same producer, Mike Thorne (Wire, Bronski Beat, China Crisis, The Communards) to record singles for the label they were both signed to. Phonogram had really wanted to sign B-Movie but had also committed to Soft Cell, having been coerced into it by Stev0, who managed both artists and wouldn’t let them have one without the other. B-Movie commenced recording the dark moody anti-fame anthem ‘Marilyn Dreams’, whilst Soft Cell got underway on a cover of an obscure Northern Soul classic. When both songs were released in July 1981, ‘Tainted Love’ became a worldwide hit and shot Soft Cell to international fame, making them the biggest stars of 1981.

Donnie (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a bright and charming high-school student who also has a dark and willfully eccentric side; he does little to mask his contempt for many of his peers and enjoys challenging the authority of the adults around him. Donnie is also visited on occasion by Frank, a monstrous six-foot rabbit that only Donnie can see who often urges him to perform dangerous and destructive pranks. Late one night, Frank leads Donnie out of his home to inform him that the world will come to an end in less than a month; moments later, the engine of a jet aircraft comes crashing through the ceiling of Donnie's room, making him think there might be something to Frank's prophesies after all…..

Therapy? the alt-metal band from Northern Ireland see two of their best known albums reissued in March 2014. The Mercury Music Prize nominated Troublegum from 1994 and Infernal Love, the follow-up from 1995, are both issued as multi-disc deluxe editions. The two albums spawned a number of UK top 30 singles in what was the band’s most commercially successful period. Troublegum is a three-CD set with two bonus discs taking in 34 extra tracks including B-sides, remixes, live performances and demos.
