Flash was an English progressive rock group, formed by former Yes guitarist Peter Banks and vocalist Colin Carter in August 1971. Bassist Ray Bennett and drummer Mike Hough completed the line-up. This four-album's Flash cardboard sleeve reissue series featuring the albums "Flash", "In The Can", "Out Of Our Hands", and Peter Banks' solo effort "Two Sides Of Peter Banks". Each Mini-LP pack includes two discs. The first disc features the high-fidelity SHM-CD format and second disc features remastering from the original LP on a standard CD format.

I’ve been playing solo guitar since the early days at the Shepherd Restaurant in Encinitas in the late 1970’s. I’d pull in on Sunday mornings, eat some buckwheat pancakes and then take off with the guitar for the next 3 hours exploring the world of six strings morphing into an orchestra. Joe Pass and Lenny Breau were early heroes along with Chick Corea’s solo piano work. The journey, with just me and the guitar, has continued through the years but it’s finally taken me ‘till now to record a set of songs in this solo setting. What took so long? Solo guitar is one of the most challenging formats to play in and well, maybe I wasn’t ready until now. I’ve still got a lot to learn but the cool factor is that it’s a joy just being on the ride.

When my dear friend Cory Weeds asked me what I wanted to do for my sophomore recording, I had no clue what I wanted to do. We started tossing around a couple of ideas and I can't remember who said it first, but somehow the idea of doing a piano trio recording with Kenny Washington and Peter Washington came up. To me, it was almost a joke - the idea of recording with my favorite rhythm section of all time since I was 19 years old wasn't realistic in my mind.

The resulting album, I'm Just a Rock 'n' Roll Singer, lacks the coherent flow that defines a good album but offers an array of tuneful, well-crafted tracks nonetheless.

This autumn, Erased Tapes are set to release ‘Give It to the Sky: Arthur Russell’s Tower of Meaning Expanded’ by composer and producer Peter Broderick and French 12-piece group Ensemble 0; a complete re-recording of Russell’s epic minimalist orchestral composition originally released in 1983. ‘Give It to the Sky’ also includes unreleased tracks by Russell which have been restored and re-recorded, resulting in an 80-minute reanimation that threads several lost songs into a meticulous and gorgeous rendering. The album was recorded live as a group in a small theatre in the Southwest of France with minimal overdubs.
