A Special KISS Album For Their Summer Tour is the first of the extremely rare, promo only KISS vinyl. Never sold to the public, the EP was sent out to radio stations to promote the up-coming LP. The label on the vinyl was a very special "bicentennial" theme. This was the only time in KISStory that this label was used.
Gene Simmons is a 1978 solo album from the drummer of KISS. It was one of four solo albums released by the members of Kiss on September 18, 1978. The album was produced by Vini Poncia, who went on to produce the Kiss albums (1979) and (1980).
Kiss My Ass: Classic Kiss Regrooved is a 1994 tribute album, featuring a variety of artists covering songs KISS. Released to coincide with Kiss' 20th anniversary. Only the vinyl release includes the bonus track "Unholy" performed by Die Ärzte and sung in German. Released in a limited red vinyl edition, it's become fairly rare to find now.
Sonic Boom is the nineteenth studio album and the first in 11 years from KISS, released on October 6, 2009. The album was recorded at Conway Recording Studios in Hollywood, CA and produced by the band's co-leader Paul Stanley and co-produced by Greg Collins. The line up is Paul Stanely, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer, & Eric Singer, this is their first studio recording with these members.
