Leif Strands Kammarkör was a Swedish chamber choir formed in the 1960s to integrate choir with traditional jazz. Originally released in 1974 on the audiophile label Proprius, this album features some of Sweden's top jazz musicians of the day including Arne Domnerus of Jazz at the Pawnshop fame.

Feidman began his career in Buenos Aires as a member of the Teatro Colуn Symphony Orchestra. Two years later he immigrated to Israel to become the youngest clarinetist ever to play with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. He was a member of the orchestra for over 20 years. In the early 1970s he began his solo career. He has performed with the Berliner Symphoniker, the Kronos Quartet, the Polish Chamber Philarmonic, the Munich Chamber Philarmonic Orchestra, and the Munich Radio Orchestra. In 1974 the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra commissioned composer Misha Segal to write a concerto for clarinet and orchestra for Giora Feidman. The one movement piece, which was based on an original Nigun, premiered that same year.

In Sonorous Falling Tones features the music of Derek Charke, the WIRED! Ensemble conducted by Mark Hopkins, and Derek Charke as flute soloist. The music in this album spans the fullest range of Derek’s output, from a work written fifteen years ago while he was finishing his doctoral studies in composition at SUNY Buffalo, to the title track—a work from 2015 that features his considerable talents as a flutist. Derek creates new and complex musical worlds, always searching for some kernel of truth and beauty. Derek Charke is a JUNO and three-time East Coast Music Association award winning composer and flutist.
