The new album by Marie-Andrée Joerger entitled “Bach en Miroir” will be released on April 16th, 2021.

This compilation features recordings made between 1950 and 1959 and proves the outstanding pianist to be an equally brilliant and exciting performer of the works of Mozart, Beethoven, Weber, Chopin, Debussy, Ravel and Strauss. In addition the compilation boasts highlights from the legendary 1956 Birdland sessions.

Getting at the root of musical inspiration on ancient and historical instruments, rediscover the forgotten reality to bring it back to life, to have it face our own modern ans innovating reality, and make it vanguard, such is the challenge splendidly matched by the young and brilliant French pianist Cyril Guillotin with this new record « Helldunkel – Twilight » in which he brings a new an authentic vision of the highest piano masterpieces.

Following the death of Frans Brüggen in August 2014, the decision was taken by the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century to continue touring the world, and inviting various guest conductors who have worked with the ensemble over the years, such as Daniel Reuss and Andrea Marcon, and indeed Kenneth Montgomery, who directs the orchestral pieces on this brand new recording for Glossa.
