This album spawned "Let It Whip," and contains a mixture of "Whip"-ish tracks and slow, tantalizing ballads. "Keep It Live" and "Whip" both feature throbbing basslines and spirited vocals. "Whip" is an unusual dance tune in that the song was successful but the dance never caught on. Lead Skip Martin displays his romantic skills on the shuffling "Gamble with My Love" and "Let Me Love You Until." Despite the big hit, this is not the Dazz Band's best overall. Dazz was experiencing growing pains – they wanted to produce themselves totally, but had to defer and follow Motown's suggestions on what the finished product should sound like.

Wilko Johnson was an English guitarist, singer, songwriter and occasional actor. He was a member of the pub rock/rhythm and blues band Dr. Feelgood in the 1970s. Johnson was known for his distinctive guitar playing style which he achieved by not using a guitar pick but playing fingerstyle guitar. This enabled him to play rhythm guitar and riffs or solos at the same time creating a highly percussive guitar sound. Johnson and Dr. Feelgood were an influence on the English punk movement. Paul Weller said of Johnson: "Wilko may not be as famous as some other guitarists, but he's right up there. And there are a lot of people who'll say the same. I can hear Wilko in lots of places. It's some legacy." Johnson died on 21 November 2022, at his home in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, at the age of 75.

Digitally remastered two CD set containing a pair of albums (plus bonus tracks) from the R&B/Soul vocalist. When Leon Haywood soared into the R&B Top 20 with Keep It In The Family in 1974, it marked the breakthrough for this singer and musician who had spent the previous decade paying his dues working in the road bands of Sam Cooke and Big Jay McNeely, and achieving minor solo success with 45s on Imperial and Decca. Leon reaped his reward on joining 20th Century Records at the birth of the Dance Music era in the mid -'70s as his R&B hit singles crossed over into the Hot 100, inspiring the release of two notable albums, Back To Stay and Keep It In the Family. The bonus tracks include a selection of contemporary hit singles and their b-sides on 20th Century.

"Let's Keep It That Way" is the 12th studio album by Anne Murray, released in February 1978. On the Canadian charts the album topped both the country and pop album charts. In the U.S., the album returned Murray to the top ten on the country album charts, a place she had not been since 1974's Highly Prized Possession; on the pop album charts, the album reached #12 (it would ultimately be the highest charting album of Murray's career on the pop album charts).
