Two lovers go on the run from their past in Keibetsu, the latest film from director Hiroki Ryuichi (Vibrator). Based on author Nakagami Kenji’s final novel before his death in 1992, this romance noir is an intense character drama about two outcasts trying to find a place to belong, only to face obstacles every step of the way. Suzuki Anne (Hana and Alice) gives the breakthrough performance of her career, playing an exotic dancer who elopes with a young gambler, played by Kora Kengo (M, Into the White Night). Returning to a darker realm after a string of gentle, low-key dramas, Hiroki depicts a fiery, passionate romance about two people who can only rely on each other in a cold, violent world.

Based on a story by Kyoka Izumi - whose writings influenced a number of playwrights and filmmakers, particularly Kenji Mizoguchi - "Kagero-Za" is another wildly inventive installment in the jump-cut, luridly hued, crazy-quilt pantheon of Suzuki.
Playwright Matsuzaki (Yusaku Matsuda) crosses paths with a beautiful woman on her way to the hospital who tells him a friend is dying. Frightened of a mysterious older woman who sells the fruit of the Chinese Lantern Plant–rumored to be distaff souls–she implores Matsuzaki to accompany her. At first he refuses, but later finds himself so obsessed with this luminous apparition that he wants nothing more than a life of carnality and excessive passion. Matsuzaki eventually follows a trail of messages left by his phantasmal enchantress across the country to Kanazawa–only to realize he is actually being lured to his own certain demise.

Always at least three steps ahead of contemporary popular music, Can were the leading avant-garde rock group of the '70s. From their very beginning, their music didn't conform to any commonly held notions about rock & roll – not even those of the countercultures. Inspired more by 20th century classical music than Chuck Berry, their closest contemporaries were Frank Zappa or possibly the Velvet Underground. Yet their music was more serious and inaccessible than either of those artists. Instead of recording tight pop songs or satire, Can experimented with noise, synthesizers, non-traditional music, cut-and-paste techniques, and, most importantly, electronic music; each album marked a significant step forward from the previous album, investigating new territories that other rock bands weren't interested in exploring…

Aural Float compiled the soundtracks for the german cult TV-series "Space Night", that has been broadcasted every night at TV-station BR.
The Orb, David Sylvian, Brian Eno & David Byrne, The Future Sound Of London, Anthony Rother, Move D. & Pete Namlook, Sounds From The Ground, Lemongrass, Jens Buchert and many more.
With it`s futuristic visuals Space Night pretty soon reached "cult status" among the young night watchers. A futuristic show that accompanied the afterwork and afterparty life of young people and electronic music fans. Coming home from the club at night and chilling to the sounds of the cult show, Aural Float created a bridge to chill out and come down. Space Night had certainly left its marks to a whole generation of electronic music enthusiasts.

Set during the 19th-century social upheaval that helped bring three centuries of shogunate rule to its knees, The Last Samurai follows Toranosuke (a physically and dramatically impressive Takahashi, former star of Seijun Suzuki's Fighting Elegy and Tattooed Life), a paragon of the valiant samurai who is confused by the changes happening around him. His codes tell him to defend the shogunate on the side of the Shinsengumi militia, but his teacher (Tamura of Yasuzo Masumura's Hoodlum Soldier series) has already defected to the other side and tells him it's time to lay down the sword and look toward the future. When the latter stealthily arranges for Toranosuke to meet the beautiful Reiko (Matsuzaka), the warrior's doubt begin to grow.
