Simon Andrews has earned a reputation as a creator of eloquent concert music that blends harmonic complexity and lyricism, introversion and broad gestures, and delicate timbres and bold statements. Here, on his recording debut, AND THE MOMENT WHEN THE BIRD SINGS, he offers up 10 compositions performed in a variety of configurations, from duos to trios and quintets, all of which emphasize his proficiency in both vocal and instrumental music.

There are three Midnight Star albums: "No Parking On The Dancefloor", "Planetary Invasion" and "Headlines" plus bonus tracks on a double CD Set. "No Parking On The Dance Floor" featured the two Smash R&B Hits "Freak-A-Zoid" and "Wet My Whistle" and the single "No Parking (On The Dancefloor)". The album was certified double Platinum in America. Originally released in 1984, "Planetary Invasion" includes the #1 R&B single "Operator" which topped the chart for an amazing five weeks. The album also featured the single "Body Snatchers". Finally, they include the album "Headlines", again packed with R&B Hits "Midas Touch" and "Headlines" (both Top 10 records). Also included is "Engine No.9" which just failed to crack the Top 10, stalling at #11. ‘Midas Touch’ also made the Top Ten in the U.K. This package features 7" versions of the hit singles as bonus tracks. Patrick Doyle is a classically trained composer.His first film score, the acclaimed adaptation of "Henry V" with Kenneth Branagh for Renaissance films was scored in 1989. He has subsequently worked with Kenneth Branagh, a long time collaborator on numerous pictures including "Dead Again", "Much Ado About Nothing", "Frankenstein" and "Hamlet".Patrick has composed over 45 internationally renowned feature film scores including "Indochine", "Sense and Sensibility", "Carlito's Way", "Gosford Park", "A Little Princess", "Bridget Jones's Diary", "Nanny McPhee" and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".

'Annunciations' celebrates Sir James MacMillan's ongoing contributions to sacred music, performed by St Salvator's Chapel Choir. Alongside five of his own pieces, the album includes works by two decisive influences on MacMillan, Benjamin Britten and Kenneth Leighton; two significant contemporaries, John Tavener and Judith Bingham; and six next generation composers mentored by Sir James on the TheoArtistry Composers' Scheme, a collaboration between ITIA (the Institute for Theology, Imagination and the Arts), the Music Centre, and St Salvator's Chapel Choir, in the University of St Andrews.
