Having made his debut last year with American Teen, Khalid has now announced a follow-up effort. The singer has revealed plans for a new EP titled Suncity, which will arrive October 19. As he noted in his announcement, it signals the "start of a new era." You can find the EP's artwork above, picturing Khalid sitting in the sun out front of a house. This year has seen Khalid contribute to albums from 6LACK, Kendrick Lamar, Buddy and Shawn Mendes. He released single "Better" last month.

Having first impacted our website way back in 2014, 19-year old rising El Paso crooner Khalid has been building a strong a name for himself over the past few years thanks in particular to singles like “Authentic” & “Location”, which caught a co-sign from Kylie Jenner on Snapchat last May. But now signed to RCA & looking to take the next step in his career, the R&B crooner decides to come though today and release his debut album called "American Teen". The album debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200 with 37,000 album-equivalent units, of which 12,000 were pure album sales.

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the architect of the 9/11 attacks, has carried out many of the biggest terrorist plots of the past twenty years, including the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, the Millennium Plots, and the beheading of Daniel Pearl.

"American Teen" is the forthcoming debut studio album from R&B artist Khalid, and with the co-sign of Zane Lowe & Apple Music, it could be yet another outstanding LP in what's without a doubt going to be a major rebound year for the R&B genre. It comes preceded by the smash single “Location”, launched back in August. The project also includes the next promotional singles “Saved”, “Coaster”, “Let’s Go” and “Hopeless“. Khalid recently decamped from his native El Paso to Los Angeles to pursue a music career. He's still a teenager but after his single "Location" blew up last year, he may be poised for big things.
