IMHO this is the best colaboration between a black American legend and British Rock stars. The musicians here involved work like a real & tight band: Eric Clapton (guitar), Rolling Stones' Bill Wyman (bass), Charlie Watts (drums), Mick Jagger (backing vocals) & road manager Ian 'Stu' Stewart (piano), Wolf' guitarrist Hubert Sumlin and 19-year old harp player Jeffrey Capp; other participants were Stevie Winwood (whose keyboard parts were recorded in Chicago and later overdubbed), Ringo Starr & Klaus Voorman in 2 tracks, Phil Upchurch (bass), John Simon (piano) and a horn section (Lafayette Leake, Joe Miller, Dennis Lansing, Jordan Sandke). This deluxe edition includes a remaster of the original album and a bonus CD with previously unreleased remixes from the original session tapes.

Straight Up is the third album by power pop band Badfinger, released on December 13, 1971. It is widely regarded as Badfinger's best album, spawning two Top 20 singles in the U.S. and being commercially successful in its own right. The album was released on the The Beatles' Apple Records label and was unavailable for many years after it closed. It became a highly sought-after album by collectors until it was finally re-issued on CD in 1993.

This long-overdue vinyl reissue of Yoko Ono's seminal, but massively under-appreciated Plastic Ono Band has all the makings of a classic rock nostalgia trip: Ono, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Klaus Voorman and free-jazz legend Ornette Coleman. All the pieces are here to stir up a dangerous amount of nostalgia. But once the needle drops, the record achieves something exactly perpendicular to nostalgia.
