A visual spectacle loosely based around Greek mythology, staged by the team behind Disneyland Resort World of Color, and with a budget reported to be around $25 million, it's unavoidable that the audio version of Kylie Minogue's 2011 Aphrodite les Folies tour will come a very distant second to its DVD counterpart. Nevertheless, despite the inability to see the production's array of flying angels, golden chariots, and audience-soaking water features, there's still plenty to enjoy on this 28-track live collection, recorded over two nights at London's 02 Arena.

By time of Kylie Minogue’s eleventh album, 2010's Aphrodite, she had been releasing records for over 20 years. Most artists who’ve stuck around for that long end up rehashing their past catalogs and/or growing stale, but Kylie manages to avoid these fates by constantly working with new collaborators, keeping up on musical trends without pandering to them, and most importantly, never taking herself too seriously. Sure, she’s serious about making great dance music, but she never confuses her status as a pop icon with a desire to send out a message in her music. Body Language is the ninth studio album by Australian singer Kylie Minogue, released on 10 November 2003 by Parlophone. Following the massive commercial success of her eighth studio album Fever (2001), Minogue enlisted a diverse group of writers and producers to aid in creating a new album, including Cathy Dennis, Dan Carey, Emiliana Torrini, Johnny Douglas, and Kurtis Mantronik among others. Influenced by the musical works of the 1980s and artists like Prince and Scritti Politti, Body Language musically differs from Minogue's previous albums, which mainly featured disco-oriented dance-pop tracks, and instead explores genres like synth-pop, electroclash, R&B, and hip hop. Many tracks in Body Language contain references to songs from the 1980s and lyrically, the album touches upon themes of enjoyment, flirting, and sex.

Meant as a statement of her new direction, Kylie Minogue's fifth album no longer featured the Stock-Aitken-Waterman production gloss and found the diminutive singer working with hip dance producers like David Seaman. From the first notes of the opener "Confide in Me," you know this is not the teen pop queen of old. Kylie Minogue (also note the use of her last name on the cover) wanted to sound grown up, and she pulls it off with ease. While it is still dance-pop, there's atmosphere and style in the songs that wasn't there on Let's Get to It. Definitely the start of the second phase of her career.

Tension is the sixteenth studio album by Australian singer Kylie Minogue. It was released on 22 September 2023 by BMG Rights Management and Minogue's company, Darenote. It was announced in May 2023, marking Minogue's first new body of work since her 2020 album, Disco. Inspired to create a record that showcases each song's individualism without a core theme, Minogue enlisted the help of a variety of producers including long-time collaborators Richard "Biff" Stannard, Duck Blackwell, Jackson Foote, PhD, and Cutfather. Influenced by electropop, Tension includes a wide range of electronic dance genres, ranging from 1980s synthpop, disco, and funk, to contemporary dance-pop and house notes. Despite having no central theme, Tension explores subjects such as love, heartbreak, and empowerment. Tension received critical acclaim from most music critics, who praised the album mixture of sounds, as well as its catchiness and production quality. Some publications considered it to be among Minogue's best work.
