La Maman et la Putain

One of the most important French films of the 1970s, Jean Eustache's marathon drama focuses on three twentysomething Parisians in a bizarre love triangle: Alexandre (Jean-Pierre Léaud) is a seemingly unemployed narcissist involved with both a live-in girlfriend (Bernadette Lafont) and a Polish nurse (Françoise Lebrun) whom he picked up at a café and with whom he begins a desultory affair.

In Paris, the pedantic Alexandre lives with his mate Marie in her apartment, an open relationship. Alexandre, who is idle and chauvinist, spends his days reading, drinking and shagging women. After flirting with his former affair, Gilberte, who tells him that she will marry soon her boyfriend, Alexandre meets the Laenne Hospital nurse Veronika Osterwald and they schedule a date. Alexandre learns that Veronika is a promiscuous woman that loves to shag and introduces her to Marie. They have a threesome and Alexandre has a crush on Veronika.

Les Maîtres du temps est un film d'animation réalisé par René Laloux sur des dessins de Moebius, sorti en 1982 et inspiré du roman de science-fiction L'Orphelin de Perdide de Stefan Wul.

Peu connu en France, les Maîtres du temps a en revanche connu un relatif succès aux États-Unis. Il s'agit d'un space opera empreint de mystère et de poésie.

Transposant à l'écran le roman de Wul, René Laloux et Moebius ont amplifié les références aux contes de fées, le petit Piel perdu dans la forêt écrasante des Dolongues devenant une sorte de Petit Poucet dont le seul lien avec la vie est désormais le micro, nommé Mike, que lui a légué son père. Face à lui, Jaffar l'aventurier, Belle la princesse et Silbad le vieux baroudeur constituent de bons génies qui le guident à travers la forêt, alors que le prince Matton, lui, essaie de le noyer…

Alexandre (Jean-Pierre Léaud) is an unemployed young man involved with both a live-in girlfriend Marie (Bernadette Lafont) and the Polish nurse Veronika (Françoise Lebrun). He had picked up Veronika at a café after an unsuccessful reconciliation with a former love, Gilberte (Isabelle Weingarten). With Veronika, he begins a desultory affair. Although Marie affirms her indifference to Alexandre's affairs, she quickly changes her mind when she sees how close he becomes to Veronika. This leads to a growing estrangement between her and Alexandre. The film focuses less on plot or narrative than on the confused and ambivalent life style of these three young people in post-May '68 Paris

A study of minor events in the adolescence of a boy growing up in small towns. Daniel lives with his grandmother and, after one year of high school, has to go to live with his mother in the south of France. She is a seamstress living in a tiny apartment with her lover Jose, a Spanish farm worker. Daniel would like to continue school, but his mother cannot afford it, so she sends him to work as an apprentice in a moped repair shop. Daniel wiles away his time in the shop, and learns about girls from the other boys in town. When he returns to visit his grandmother next year, it is obvious that he has grown up faster than his old friends.

7ème album de Jeanne Cherhal, réalisé et arrangé par Benjamin Biolay. C’est un disque qui laisse entrer l’espace, l'air et la lumière. Un album qui porte le prénom de son autrice. Comme un portrait en treize titres qui célèbre, plus que jamais, sa liberté. Un soir, Benjamin Biolay, qui est mon ami et mon chanteur préféré, m’a lancé un défi : il voulait réaliser mon prochain album. Je n’avais alors rien sous le coude, mais cette envie de sa part et ses encouragements m’ont galvanisée, et treize chansons sont nées ! Dès que j’en écrivais une, je lui envoyais une maquette toute simple en piano-voix. Lorsque nous sommes entrés en studio, nous savions ce que nous voulions : nous amuser et sublimer tout ça. Merveilleusement inspiré, Benjamin a donné des ailes à mes chansons et les a enveloppées d’un écrin somptueux. Le dernier soir, nous avons écrit et enregistré un duo en quelques heures, comme un retour de flamme. Ce disque me ressemble tellement que son titre s’est imposé, il s’appelle Jeanne, tout simplement !
