Beautifully packaged in a high-quality clamshell box containing the 5individual CDs in card wallet sleeves. Featuring expanded versions of theband’s first three albums plus two additional discs containing their first two EPs, tracks by Landscape III and a comprehensive selection of 7” edits, 12” extended versions, remixes, B-sides, instrumentals and live tracks. With a fully illustrated 52-page perfect bound book containing brand new sleevenotes, lyrics, biographies, archive photos, original artwork, press cuttings and more. All tracks were mastered from high resolution digitisations of the original analogue master tapes. The ‘previously released’ tracks from the analogue stereo two tracks, the ‘remixes’ and ‘instrumentals’ from digitisations of the original analogue multitracks, and the ‘live’ tracks were mastered from edited digitisations of the original analogue stereo live recordings. Released with the full involvement of all the original band members.

Formed by two relative veterans of the musical landscape in London in 1990, Curve blazed a trail with a fresh new sound during the first few years of that decade, fusing heavy electronics with layered guitars and sweetly dark vocals. The British music press was instantly enamoured, and the band went on to score a succession of critically acclaimed underground hits through a series of classic EPs and two futuristic albums. Released on Dave Stewart’s (Eurythmics) Anxious imprint, these records chart the course of a band who burned brightly but briefly in their original incarnation, taking their cues from the scene around them and creating a new sound which many would mimic (most notably, Butch Vig’s Garbage). The Pilgrim, Their God and the King of My Decrepit Mountain follows a three-act structure – released by Heavenly Recordings as three four-track EPs – telling the story of a solitary traveller, an ambiguous red creature known as The Pilgrim, on a journey across a mythical landscape of eerie forests, stormy seas and unholy mountains populated by beasts, injured birds and idealised eidolons. A fantastical offbeat fable carried along by Gray’s crisp, heartfelt vocals and the band’s instinctive, idiosyncratic melodies, the project at times feels like the musical equivalent of the paintings of Henry Darger, Henri Rousseau or Philip Guston.
