Laviantica

Laviàntica is a band from Rome, Italy, in action since the early 90s. In 2013 the first official CD was released. The album is titled ''Clessidra'' (''Hourglass'' in English), an apt soubriquet as it marks a return to the intricate arrangements and subtle atmospheres of their Neo-Prog past, but cross-fertilised with the immediacy of pop and singer-songwriter elements. Significantly, they have forsaken the English vocals in favour of their native tongue, a crucial change for their musical development and artistic integrity.

In 2016 a new entry, Daniele Sorrenti, joined the band for flute and minimoog parts, while in 2017 Roberto Rossi completed the current line-up, replacing Andrea Schiappelli on drums. "The Experience" (2018) is an instrumental concept album telling the journey of Galbat, an imaginary entity coming from an immaterial space, who decides to explore our physical world. As in the previous album, tracks are linked by environmental noises, which leads the listener through the experiential journey of Galbat, during his discovery of an unknown world.
