Although Miles Davis gets top billing, he appears on only half the album and then most often as a sideman with only occasional solos. Saxophonists Lee Konitz, Stan Getz, and Gerry Mulligan are the true stars of the album, with Konitz particularly shining.

Features 24 bit remastering and comes with a mini-description. This studio date came about as a result of Albert Mangelsdorff's appearance at the Third Yugoslavian Jazz Festival, where pianist John Lewis was impressed enough with his performance to set up a recording session a few days later. With bassist Karl Theodor Geier and drummer Silvije Glojnaric also on hand, none of the musicians had ever played together, though it made little difference as they quickly absorbed the originals of Lewis and Mangelsdorff, along with the familiar standard "Autumn Leaves" (a trio arrangement omitting Lewis) and Gary McFarland's "Why Are You Blue."

Lee Harvey Osmond is the brainchild of Tom Wilson (of Blackie and the Rodeo Kings and Junkhouse fame). A rare larger-than-life character in Canadian music, he effectively reins in his booming voice on this follow-up to 2009 debut A Quiet Evil. Don't term this a solo record though, for Wilson has corralled a talent-heavy posse of fellow sinners. The album is produced with clarity by Michael Timmins (Cowboy Junkies) and the songs co-written with the likes of Josh Finalyson (Skydiggers), Paul Reddick and Colins James, Cripps and Linden. Musical accompanists include Ray Farrugia (Junkhouse), Brent Titcomb and Reddick. Horns, vibes and pedal steel add atmosphere, while Oh Susanna (whose duet on "Big Chief" is a stunner), Andy Maize, Margo Timmins and Hawksley Workman help mix things up vocally…

Since 1991, a complete edition of all recordings in which Karlheinz Stockhausen has personally participated is being released on compact discs. Each CD in this series is identified by Stockhausen's signature followed by an encircled number. The numbers indicate the general historical order of the works. Stockhausen realised the electronic music and participated in these recordings as conductor, performer, sound projectionist, and musical director. He personally mixed down the recordings, mastered them for CDs, wrote the texts and drew the covers.

Bon d'accord les titres sont connus, mais quelques fois il y a une légère modification de l'orchestration par rapport à la parution originale. D'aucuns le critique mais faire cela à l'age de 70 ans et bien chapeau. L'idée d'avoir pris les sons dans plusieurs concerts différents est un plus. Le concepteur de cette maquette a eu une bonne idée. Le troisième CD oui bon bof….
