"Dar Shems" or "the house of the sun" and the opening to the account of a wandering, a profile disappeared: Abu Sadiya. You listen to the breath of Yacine Boulares, saxophonist and Franco-Tunisian clarinettist installed in New York who invites beside him the American drummer Nasheet Waits and the French cellist Vincent Segal. Trio training quite rare for a project almost narrative.

Small Miracles is the eleventh studio album released by Canadian country rock band Blue Rodeo, released on September 25, 2007. Although Small Miracles did not produce any high charting singles, such as 1990's "Til I Am Myself Again" which reached number 19 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart, critical reception was generally positive. Allmusic marveled that the album "sounds this consistently fresh and inspired coming 20 years after Blue Rodeo's debut." The first single, C'mon, peaked at number 68 on the Canadian Hot 100. Although the second single, 3 Hours Away, did not chart, the following single, This Town, did.

The album was an immediate commercial and critical success, and came to be viewed by music historians as a classic of 1970s soul. Multiple critics, musicians, and many in the general public consider What's Going On to be one of the greatest albums of all time and a landmark recording in popular music. Randy Brecker has been at the forefront of jazz since the late 1960s. His debut album as leader way back in 1969 was Score (Solid State). In addition to numerous albums under his own name he's also recorded with George Benson, Duke Pearson, Dreams and Larry Coryell's Eleventh House, to name just a few. But perhaps he is best known for the albums he produced with his younger brother, the late Michael Brecker as The Brecker Brothers. Lest people forget what a significant force of nature the BBs were, Stuart Nicholson in his book Jazz-Rock: A History, described the Breckers' horn lines as becoming "the model for countless fusion bands in the 1980s and 1990s."

During 1968-75, guitarist Larry Coryell recorded a wide variety of interesting material for Vanguard. This album, a CD reissue of the original Lp, was Coryell's final one for the label. The five selections, although originals, have the feel of a jam session. Coryell's Eleventh House (which includes trumpeter Mike Lawrence, keyboardist Mike Mandel, bassist Danny Trifan and drummer Alphonse Mouzon) is featured on two tracks (their final recordings), Coryell plays all of the instruments on the brief "The Eyes Of Love" and on two lengthy jams he is matched with fellow guitarist John McLaughlin, bassist Miroslav Vitous, drummer Billy Cobham and (on Larry Young's "Tyrone") keyboardist Chick Corea. The lively music is very much of the period and this CD is a bit brief (at 34 minutes) but the high-quality of the solos makes this one worth picking up by listeners interested in Larry Coryell's early period.

Lou Busch was a major arranger/conductor who created an alter ego for himself in the guise of Joe 'Fingers' Carr, the ragtime and honky-tonk pianist. For the first time on one compilation we present both facets of the spectacular Lou Busch / Joe 'Fingers' Carr career. All of Joe 'Fingers' Carr's hits are included "Let's Do It Again!", "Music! Music! Music!", "Maple Leaf Rag", "Portuguese Washerwomen", "Sam's Song", "Down Yonder", "Tiger Rag", "Beer Barrel Polka", "The Old Piano Roll Blues" and many more! In addition are his great orchestral works plus his hit recordings with wife Margaret Whiting and all three tracks from Roger And Hammerstein's 'The King And I'.
