For many metal fans out there, Rob Rock is a man that needs no introduction. He has performed for numerous metal acts dating back to the mid 1980's. Actually, the list is quite long: M.A.R.S., Angelica, Driver, Joshua, Axel Rudi Pell, Impellitteri, Warrior, and Avantasia. Eyes of Eternity is another quality album to add to Rob's discography. This is Rob's second solo album, the follow up to the 2000 release Rage of Creation. Eyes of Eternity sees Rob Rock kicking up the intensity of the music, while not forgetting his melodic roots.

In over 20 years, AC/DC never changed their minimalist, bone-crunching hard rock. During their first ten years, that wasn't a problem, since they were still finding ways to expand and subvert the pattern, but ever since For Those About to Rock, they had trouble coming up with consistent material. François-André Danican Philidor started his musical career as a boy chorister in the Chapelle Royal at Versailles. Taught by Campra, his first motet was performed there in 1738. At the same time as he was building his career in music, Philidor acquired considerable ability as a chess player, and in the 1740s he could regularly be found playing opponents such as Voltaire and Rousseau in the Café de la Régence.
