Toto has welcomed many different band members across their long career but in the early '90s they had a short period as a four-piece featuring Steve Lukather (guitar and lead vocals), David Paich (keyboards and vocals), Jeff Porcaro (drums and percussion) and Mike Porcaro (bass). The line-up, with some additional touring members, performed this concert at Montreux in July 1991 and would go on to make the Kingdom Of Desire album released in 1992, shortly after the tragic early death of drummer Jeff Porcaro. The Montreux show, now being released for the first time, combines then unreleased tracks from the Kingdom Of Desire album with classic hits and covers of songs by Jimi Hendrix and Sly Stone. It is a perfect addition to any Toto fan's collection.

John McLaughlin & Paco de Lucia: Paco and John - Live at Montreux 1987 it's truly a shame that, all too often, artists with diverse careers become pigeon-holed, defined by the primary genre in which they first achieved notoriety. Take guitarist John McLaughlin, for instance. Ask most jazz fans about him and what will first come out of most of their mouths will include either the words "fusion," "jazz-rock" and/or Miles Davis, in any permutation/combination (not that there's anything wrong with that). Those a little further in the know might also be aware of his longstanding investigation into the nexus of eastern and western music with his Indo-collaboration, Shakti.

John's history with the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival spans 52 years as a headlining artist and sometime guest performer. In 2022 he brought a masterclass in fusion to Stravinski Hall with his longtime band The 4th Dimension and award-winning special guest Jany McPherson sitting in on piano and vocals. Recorded on state-of-the-art mobile multi-track equipment, filmed in HD video, and mixed and mastered by George Murphy at London's Eastcote Studios, 'Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 2022' is an immersive deep dive into the magic, improvisation, and virtuosity of the man Jeff Beck once called 'the greatest living guitarist' with a peerless band behind him.

Prog rock super group, Emerson, Lake & Palmer took the music world by storm in the 1970s. Keyboardist and former The Nice member Keith Emerson's virtuoso abilities were matched by drummer Carl Palmer and former King Crimson member, bassist Greg Lake, who added a pop sensibility to the mix…

Another day another concert! Still excited that I got to see Raye at the Montreux Jazz Festival this past week. Being back in Montreux was great especially since the weather was an absolute dream!
Playing at the Montreux Jazz Festival is a big deal for any artist. But headlining one of the nights is even bigger. This opportunity must have been even more significant for Raye, an internationally acclaimed artist with Swiss roots. Performing on the new Lake Stage and co-headlining with Janelle Monae, Raye delivered a magical show. Having seen Raye perform before, first as a support act for Khalid and later for SZA, it’s clear that she just gets better and better with each performance.

Comprised of NICE's keyboard player Keith Emerson , KING CRIMSON's bassist Greg Lake , and the ATOMIC ROOSTER's drummer Carl Palmer , 1970s supergroup EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER crafted expansive, near-orchestral prog-rock influenced by jazz and classical music. Disbanding in 1979 and embarking on various solo careers, the trio reunited in the 1990s to produce a new album, "Black Moon", for which they toured extensively in 1997. This concert captures EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER at the Montreux Jazz Festival that same year, performing a career-spanning selection of songs that includes "Karn Evil 9," "Hoedown," "Lucky Man," "Tarkus," "Fanfare for the Common Man," and many more.

Deep Purple need no introduction as one of the all-time great British rock bands. Their association with Montreux goes back to the early seventies, when their attempt to record their album "Machine Head" at the Montreux Casino was thwarted when it promptly burnt down, forcing them to make the album in the rooms and corridors of the Grand Hotel instead…
