In 1663, Father Antonio Vieira, a famous Jesuit priest who was a close friend of the late King Joao IV, is summoned before the Tribunal of the terrible Inquisition. His position there is weakened by plots and misunderstandings. In front of the judges, Vieira reviews his past: his youth spent in Brazil and as a novitiate in Bahia, his involvement in the Indian cause, and his first successes in the pulpit. After the Inquisition deprives him of his freedom of speech, he flees to Rome where he achieves a good reputation and much success…..

Singing in Portuguese, Spanish and English, highlights on the album include “Medellín,” which was co-produced by Mirwais and captures the spirit of Maluma’s hometown, the anthemic song “I Rise,” the Jamaican dancehall vibes of “Future” featuring Quavo, and co-produced by Diplo, as well as the sonically innovative Mirwaisproduced “Dark Ballet.” Recorded over 18 months in Portugal, London, New York and Los Angeles, Madonna collaborated on Madame X with longtime producer Mirwais, as well as with producers Mike Dean and Diplo, among others.

He gave Portugal its first win at the Eurovision Song Contest in May, and has had a packed schedule of performances and appearances since then. But amid all of that Salvador Sobral has found time to join the Alexander Search project as the lead vocalist, singing under the name Benjamin Cymbra. Yes, this may be a little confusing, but when working with the group Salvador goes by Benjamin. That’s because the Alexander Search band (created by pianist Júlio Resende) is inspired by Portugal’s famous poet Fernando Pessoa and the time he wrote in English while living in South Africa. Pessoa is known for his countless heteronyms one of them being Alexander Search so every member of the band adopts a different character when on stage. Stop scratching your head and just go with it.

"Home On The River" is the second full-length major release from the sweetly expressive Americana artist who has found a true home on the road and on diverse musical stages throughout the world. Co-produced by Cotter and Jeff Oehler of Beehive Productions and recorded in scenic Saranac Lake, New York, as well as in Kansas City, MO, "Home on the River" emphasizes both the freedom of wanderlust and a sense of place. The album features 9 original songs plus Cotter's hauntingly lovely acapella version of Woody Guthrie's "My Peace".
